That’s the problem with diets… the weight comes off but comes right back.. So, I made my own carb diet. I have whatever I want for breakfast, then for lunch I have about 25 -30 carbs all total, , then after 3 in the afternoon, no more carbs. Just protein and veggies and fruit.
I know I need carbs for energy in the morning and around mid day, but as the day goes on, I really don’t need that much energy…. especially at night. It works for me; my weight is where I want it to be.
And when I do eat carbs… it’s only complex carbs that give staying power. No potatoes, rice, pasta , pizza, white flour stuff.

Go out and buy the book “The fiber 35 diet” It is a great program and you will learn a lot about how fiber plays such an important roll in the weight loss game. I have lost 70 lbs over the last 9 months and I attribute most of it to an increase in fiber in my diet. Also try keeping track of your calorie intake and expenditure. I use http://www.fitday.com it’s a big help. Good luck!

you still lost 24 pounds. i would suggest massive amounts of cardio-run, swim, raquet ball, tennis-and cut back on fatty foods, try and control your portions. you don’t have to starve yourself, just eat in moderaiton. also, NO soda-you can lose probaly 5-10 pounds in a week or 2 if you drink water instead of soda, plus water is good for everything-keeps you healthy, loses weight, better skin, gets rid of toxins-just all around good.

Sounds like you have been trying the Atkins approach which certainly does work but you destroy yourself in the process and this crazy Atkins diet (lots of red meat and not much else) is a perfect recipe for inviting a stroke or a heart attack.
Try a vegetarian diet which is mostly carbohydrates. Do you know any vegetarians who are overweight? I don’t think they exist. Try a search for “vegetarian diet” + “health benefits” and you will learn more.

Negative Calorie Foods

The phrase, "negative calorie food", as highlighted in negative calorie diet programs and books, usually refers to foods that allegedly require more energy to digest than they contain. Since the process of digestion requires the use of calories for energy, sometimes the net amount of metabolizable energy available from a food is less than the gross number of calories contained in the food.
