Not if you are on the low carb diet. Low carb siets work by getting your body into keytosid, It’s basically a form of starvation. Once your body hits that, from eating 0 carbs it starts eating away at fat. But, often, people gain back the weight when they stop being low or no carb. It’s not a good permanent fix b/c it is unrealistic to never eat carbs. Now, a good alternative is a low carb and low fat diet. South beach is a good one. It won’t stop your heart or clog your arteries. I’ve found with dieting ( and I ‘ve done every diet under the sun) that low carb low fat is the most realistic, easily sustainable and keeps the weight off. plus so many companies now have good tasting low fat or low carb foods! It’s wonderfull! you just gotta test stuff out. Good luck, and don’t worry you’re not the only one out there!

I’ve never talked to ‘everybody’.
Losing weight comes from eating less food/fuel/calories than you need to fuel daily activities. Your body then turns to stored fat to make up the difference.
Whether those calories come from carbohydrates, protein, or fat isn’t all that important for weight loss.

No “everybody” does not say low carb diets are good for weight loss/maintenance. I think 50% carbs, 25% protein and 25% fats are the ideal food plan.
