my bf is on a low-carb diet and he keeps complaining of a dry mouth. he’s also quite dark under his eyes, as though he’s v tired.

I’m thinking of cutting carbs because I know initially it puts your body into shock and you lose weight. I’m going to excersize to try to speed up the process. Once I’m done… can’t I gradually re-introduce carbs into my system without gaining weight? Or is there a better way?

i have started a new diet, but in the induction phase of atkins, it explains of how the body turns into ketosis mode once it stops receiving carbs, i just want to know how long does it usually take for the process to begin?

There is nothing about rice, brown or otherwise, that is low carb. It can be part of a reasonably healthy diet IF used in moderation and balanced with other comestibles. Remember that an individual serving of rice is a third of a cup of cooked rice – not uncooked rice.

Good if u are obese…body will burn extra fat
bad if u are normal or skinny as ur body will not have sufficent calories and hence u will have severe wasting of body as well as a wide range of malnutrition related problems
