High Protein Vegetarian Options…?

i have to go on a low carb diet due to insulin problems, and i cant have soy either due to thyroid problems!….. so im at a loss at what to eat because im also a vegetarian (i dont eat fish, and rarely can stomach eggs)……… what high protein or low carb options can i go for, is there specific vegetables or nuts that would help?

    Beans are a great source of protein. Lentils have 18 grams in a cup, black beans have 15. Nuts are another option. Protein isn’t as hard to get as you might think – there is protein in whole grains (whole grain breads, oatmeal, etc.) Also in many vegetables, especially green ones.
    Americans on average eat one and a half to two times as much protein as they need.
