Also, remember, anything with caffine in it will cause a slight bloodsugar spike. I think Kava might have some, but not sure what ingrediants are in this product. Also, if you call up your local pharmacy, the pharmisist on duty could probrably tell you. Due to diabetes being very common these days, it's their job to know things like this. Just tell them you're diabetic or rather on a diabetic diet...(no insulin just diet controled) or looking out for your bloodsugar. That should be all the explination you need to give. I would go with those. So many supplements are non-regulated that you don't know what's in it, and the ones in the Atkin's book are formulated for/by them (atkins). I do however agree that you should consult the guidelines of the diet because even slight deviations will render it ineffective.I know that I'm not answering your question,just making corrections to some statements.
