How Many Carbs Are Recommended For A Low Carb Diet? (for Weight Loss)?
It depends on which diet you’re looking at. The South Beach diet (recommended by my doctor) has a dieter start at one to two servings of carbs per meal. A serving is 15 grams of carbohydrate. I have always felt that the best diet consists of eating more vegetables, less prepared foods and indulging in foods that are simply prepared (no gravy, heavy sauce, casseroles etc). Stick with brightly colored vegetables and stay away from anything that has flour/wheat/potato/rice in it.
Advice- low carb diet are NOT long term, and not an over all good idea. Carbs are in almost everything. So you have to do the research, count every day, ETC. Then staying on it is the hardest and usually lasts about 1-2 weeks even for strong willed people.
-Just try reducing 250-500 calories from your diet and burn 250-500 calories more on your exercise and you should see results quickly and most importantly HEALTHy

20g of net carbs until you’re within 5-10 lbs from your goal weight. then you can add 5 additional carbs every week or so. Once you reach your goal weight you can play around with your carb intake and figure out how many carbs your body can consume while maintaining your weight.

I strongly suggest that you get the book for whichever plan you are contemplating, so that you know HOW to do it correctly and WHY it works.
And remember, whatever you decide to do, you must be prepared to do it FOR LIFE. No matter which weight-loss strategy you choose, if you stop it the weight will come back.
