Has Anyone Lost A Lot Of Weight On A Low Carb Diet? How Much And How Long Did It Take?
2 years ago, I was diagnosed diabetic–and carbs make blood sugar too high. They put me on a low cal/low carb diet–150 mg of carb, 1300 calories a day.
I lost 65 pounds in a year, and my sugar, cholesterol and Blood Pressure all went to normal.
Then I quit smoking & gained it all back–and now I am back on track and lost 17 lbs in a month!
yes at first. this diet regimen is not healthy for the long
run and when i tried to eat a maintenance diet the weight
came right back and brought more with it.
i did strict atkin’s for 2 months and lost 25 lbs.
I’ve seen people who did that and got good temporary results; however, they gained the weight they lost back pretty fast. I’m taking a class to become a personal trainer, and I wanted to give a couple of advices that can help you loose weight if you do them right. Let me tell you something first. Fat Burns In The Flame of Carbohydrates!! this basically means you won’t burn fat unless you have enough carbohydrates in your body. I recommend sonsuming complex carbohydrates such as wheat bread and whole grain bread. NO NO on white bread, white rice, and things like that. Sugar is the worst type type of carbs. So stay away from sweets for a while. If you love sweet go for Fat free fruit yougert, it’s only 60 Calories and full of Ca++ that will actually speed up you fat burning process. Diet is important, so you should eat good food. Stay away from fast food. If you can’t go to Subway or Quiznose and get a turkey Sandwitch w/o manaise and oil. Notice I didn’t say cheese because alittle provelone cheese is good for you.
Excersie and if you reduce 500 calories frome your daily intake you will loose about 1lbs of fat every week.
