Everyone Tells Me I Wont Lose Weight On This Diet…is That True?

about 3 weeks ago i decided to be more aware of what i am eating. I have cut all treats from my diet except for dark chocolate. i have like one piece of that a day. my mom is on a low-carb craze and i went to a personal trainer a few days ago who said that low carb is basically the only way to lose weight. they are both in their high 40s or something, and im 16. it makes me mad because i think i am eating well, but my mom says ill never lose weight on my diet unless i eat low carb. ive heard that low carb is basically meat and vegetables. so i would have trouble eating low carb because i am a vegetarian (so no animals) and i dont like vegetables very much. (give me a break, no 16 year olds really do). so basically ill just show you what i usually have every day, and you tell me if its true that i will never lose weight
info:
im 129 pounds
5′7”
vegetarian
16 years-old
breakfast: 1 piece of whole wheat protein toast with peanut butter
2 cups of strawberries
1 glass of OJ
lunch: a smoothie or something else pretty light like a rice cake or something
dinner: whote wheat protein quesidilla
a banana
green beans
an apple
(sometimes my dessert is a bowl of berries and some pieces of melted dark chocolate)
excersize: okay i go to the gym probably once or twice a week and i run like 2 miles and do about 10 miles on the bike
i recently got a personal trainer that ive only seen once but seems to be focusing on weights and working my core who i am going to see twice a week
and every day i usually go on some sort of long walk or bike
thanks for the help!

The trainer’s probably working you with strength training because you don’t really need to focus on cardio and losing weight per se, toning is probably what you’re after. You eat well, a lot of sugar but you’re young and eat better than a lot of kids your age. You’ll lose some.

eat whole grain cereals(high in fiber and protein-protein is needed to burn fat) *try go lean brand at trader joes*with fat free milk for breakfast and the rest of the day have fruit and vegetable (uncooked no butter)
most fruits and vegetables have negative calories(the body burns more calories digesting the food than it actually provides MUST BE EATEN RAW FOR NEGATIVE CALORIE AFFECT
and throw in 3-4 ounce piece of salmon for dinner
try taking hoodia supplements it really helps
    drink green tea
carry water with you all day(ice cold water is best because the body has to use calories to digest cold water)
drink a ice cold glass of water before breakfast and dinner
    don’t eat after 8:00
exercize at least an hour a day
fidget all you can (scientist say people who fidget burn hundreds of more calories a day than people who sit still)
*good for people who have desk jobs or go to school, who spend alot of time a day sitting
here is a list of negative calorie foods to help youhttp://weightlossinternational.com/newsl…

First off, you are 16 years old, 5′7″ and only weigh 129 lbs. You are NOT overweight. If you want to manage and maintain keep up with the exercise you are already doing. A good cardio workout is good too.
