Atkins is great and I would do it again if I need to lose more weight. I lost about 30 pounds in about 2 and 1/2 months. I used the Atkins bars and shakes a lot of the times when I would crave sugar. You can find them at stores like http://www.imedmart.com

Low carb diets do work, but are VERY dangerous if you do not know exactly what you are doing. Look up ketogenic diets. This is what the Atkins diet intends to be, but most people do it wrong.
The important thing is to eat right and exercise, and continue to eat right and exercise. The problem with diets is that people go on diets, then when they loose the weight, they continue to eat the way that got them fat in the first place. To loose weight and keep it off, you need a lifestlye change.
    Good Luck!

Diets such as Atkins do work, but temporarily. There’s only one person I know of that has kept the weight off longterm. The body needs complex carbs to function properly. Whole grains and fruit offer the body so many nutrients and fiber, that aid in keeping your blood sugar from spiking, and digestion. If you give up all carbs, be prepared to suffer from stomach discomfort, bloating, irritablilty, and headaches. People forget that Atkins died of heart disease.
I suggest you stick to a diet rich in vegetables, fruit, lean protein and complex carbs. Eat whole grains like wheat, oats, barley, quinoa, and flaxseeds. The best thing to do is to avoid your carbs at dinner time. Eat a supper of lean beef, chicken breast or fish, with steamed veggies. And watch your total caloric intake..keep it between 1200-1500 calories a day.

Low carb can work but you’ve gotta remember certain things about it
If your keeping your carbs low, make sure you eat lots of good protein and fats. Get it from nice lean meats. And also eat a lot of good veggies, not potatos tho.
Its been reccomended to me to try and cycle 4 days low carb. 2 days normal. maybe try a couple of cycles of that see how it works for you.
also a bit of cardio can’t hurt

I don’t know what that diet consists of but I know someone who lost 40 pounds in 20 months by eating only vege’s, but he got really sick the whole time. I lost a little less but I had nutrients (no fat or sugar) to supplement the vege’s, plus a little protein on the side, and I never got sick.

weight loss is a three way street, it consist of diet, resistant training and cardio. Dieting alone is not enougth to give you the result that you need. you want to lose those 20lbs and keep them off.

Try the Life Support Herbal Diet: Http://HoodiaLife.info
I’ve probably tried over 10 different kinds of diets, but this has been the most effective for me.
I’ve lost about 15 lbs. in the past couple months since it helps suppress my appetite.
