			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I never feel full when I eat yet I&#8217;m developing a belly. People tell me if you eat more fiber/protein you feel full longer? I don&#8217;t quite understand. Can someone give me examples of foods? Also, if that is true, is it bad just to eat fiber/protein products all the time? Is there a certain amount im supposed to intake?<br />
Also, I was supposed to lose a bit of weight. When people say &#8220;high protein, low carb diet&#8221;.. I don&#8217;t understand it.. I knew calories were a part of the weight thing but what do carbs do and how do they affect you?<br />
Sorry for the numerous questions. If I could just get some answers..<br />

I have a salad for lunch. Usually, spinach, broccolli, peas, green pepper or red/yellow, slivered almonds &amp; sunflower seeds. a chopped black olive, beets, sometimes a hard boiled egg or cod fish or whatever that immatation lobster is, a peice of pinapple, a strawberry, other fruits occasionaly &amp; berries when the salad bar has them. thousand island dressing oh, and sometimes this delicious oriental noodles.<br />
dinner might be a peice of fish or chicken the size of a deck of cards &amp; a baked potato or sweet potato&#8230;then later I might have something I put in the freezer such as a low carb slim fast or yogurt. The calcim from the yogurt is so relaxing &amp; good for sleep but I don&#8217;t have any trouble anyway at having a good night sleep.<br />
Is that nutritional enough, is there enough fiber is it too high in calories.<br />
I also make sure I have half my body weight amount in ounces of water I drink &amp; I stop a few hours before bed time. I exercise doing aerobics about 30 minutes &amp; do some yoga &amp; tai chi for another 30 a day.<br />
What do you see as not good or that I can improve upon. Oh, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes but unless I have stress (which I am working on) I feel great. Any advice?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have always had irregular periods (mainly heavy and lasting way too long) because I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. 2 weeks ago I started a low-carb lifestyle (about 30-40 carbs per day) and have lost about 10 pounds. This is the only diet that has ever helped me lose weight because I have tried everything under the sun.<br />
So anyway, the past 2 days I have had an EXTREMELY HEAVY AND EXTREMELY PAINFUL period. Heavier than I&#8217;ve ever had (soaking more than one super plus tampon ever hour) and the cramps are so bad I can hardly walk. I have tried midol, progesterone cream on the skin, and heating pads and nothing is working! What could be wrong with me? I have recently been to a good gyno in Atlanta, Ga and she did an ultrasound and papsmear and she said everything looked totally normal, including my uterus, ovaries, cervix, etc. She did not see any reason for my irregular periods except for the fact that I have PCOS. I have been tested by several doctors for cervical cancer, polyps in my uterus, etc when I&#8217;ve had ongoing periods but no period has ever been this bad before. Along with this period I am shaky, weak, dizzy, and just woozy feeling. I tested my blood sugar and it was 106 which I think is normal and I the last time I ate was about an hour ago. Please help because I don&#8217;t have health insurance anymore <img src='http://idylwoodtheband.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif' alt=':(' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

im a vegetarian and he knows that so getting my protien is hard and the only way i really get it is through protien shakes but even in the most healthiest low carb protien shake i end up having 25grams of carbs for every 48grams of protien. the fat grams i understand but getting that much protien with that little amount of carbs is literaly imposible. this is day 14 of this diet and i have not been able to eat less that 115grams of carbs even on my best days. even apples have 25grams of carbs in them.<br />
do you think this diet is a little crazy? is it even possible to get that few carbs in each day on a 1200 calorie diet?</p>

What im doing now is i still continue lift weights do cardio, eat the right food, and do a lot of sit ups. 3 weeks ago i weighed 147 lbs now im 140 lbs. is it just normal? shouldn&#8217;t i be gaining weight? or its just because im loosing my stomach fat which is really obvious and i can see that im loosing my belly fat.. im just confused. hope i could get a good answer.. thanks alot you guys..</p>
